2、ersity In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for The Degree of Master of Education May 2016 Abstract With the development of teacher professionalization, teachers play an important role in teaching and education, and teachers5 pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) has also become the core part of
3、 specialized education movement. In traditional English teaching, English teachers pay more attention to whether the teaching activities have achieved the expected teaching goals, and whether English teaching activities are effective or not. But in the new curriculum theory, effective teaching inclu
4、des: the students development, whether the students have made progress, the promotion of effective learning and so on. Scientific educational reform puts forward new requirements for teachers professional development, in which PCK theoretical knowledge is very important for teachers professional dev
5、elopment and effective teaching. This thesis summarizes the concept of PCK in the part of literature review, also analyzes the relevant research at home and abroad, and then discusses the elements of teachers professional knowledge. The third chapter begins with an introduction of a middle school in
6、 Jiangsu Province, which serves as a case for the study. At the same time, the thesis develops a student questionnaire to understand the theories of PCK from the students point of view. There are five dimensions of PCK in the questionnaires: the degree of English preferences of students, professiona
7、l knowledge of the academic discipline, strategic knowledge, situational knowledge and students knowledge. After all valid questionnaire data are analyzed; the results show that there are obvious differences between expert English teachers and novice English teachers. The results also show that PCK
8、has a great impact on the effectiveness of English teaching. In the fourth chapter, the research analyzes the teaching processes of expert English teachers. The researcher interviews the expert teachers with reference to the dimensions covered in PCK. The expert English teachers also give the reason
9、able suggestions during the interview. At the same time, an in-depth analysis of the expert English teachers in his actual classroom teaching is conducted. On the basis of the analysis, some suggestions are ventured in order to improve the classroom efficiency. Combined with the students questionnai
10、re analysis, the classroom observation and the interview contents, development strategies for rural middle school English teachers PCK, suggestions for novice English teachers5 development and school teaching environment are put forward. From a theoretical perspective, this thesis integrates PCK and
11、 effective English teaching at home and abroad, and later discusses the elements of English teachers professional knowledge, especially the elements of the rural middle school English teachers PCK, which contributes to the further improvement of English teachers5 professional knowledge. From the act
12、ual situation, with consideration of the circumstances of the middle school English teachers, this article analyzes the effective English classroom teaching from the English teachers perspective. It will help English teachers to reflect on their own teaching, and improve the current situation of rur
13、al middle school English teaching, and it will also help to improve the middle school English classroom teaching. 14、glish teaching in middle school 摘要 随着教师专业化的发展,教师在教育和教学中扮演着重要的作用,教师学 科教学知识 ( PCK)也成为教育专业化发展的核心部分。在传统的英语教学中, 英语教师更多地关注教学活动是否达到了预期的教学目标,英语教学活动是否 有效。但是新课程理论里,有效教 学包括:学生的发展,推广学生有效学习等。 教育改革对教师专业化发展提出了新的要求,其中 PCK 理论知识对教师的专业 化发展和有效教学显得尤为重要。 作者在文章导论部分对 PCK 相关概念进行了详细概述,并且对国内外相关 PCK理论研宄现状进行详尽分析。文章第三章以江苏省一所城镇中学
15、为调查、 研宄基地,最后对调查结果进行了深度地分析。文章主要分析了该中学一名专 家型英语教师和一名新手英语教师的课堂教学,对两位英语老师 PCK 构成要素 进行课堂观察研宄。作者同时结合 PCK 的理论知识编制了学生问卷,从学生的 角度进一步了 解两位英语教师的 PCK 知识。问卷涉及到的五个方面的知识:对 英语课的喜欢程度,英语教师的学科专业知识、英语教师的教学策略知识、教 学情境知识与有关学生知识。最后对调查问卷进行整合分析,分析结果显示专 家型英语教师与新手英语教师在教学策略知识和有关学生知识方面存在着非常 显著的差异,结果也显示 PCK 知识对有效英语课堂教学有着重要的影响。第四 章,
16、作者对专家型英语教师 PCK 构成要素进行了深入访谈分析 .同时,在访谈 中专家型教师对初中英语教师 PCK 发展提出合理的建议。结合对学生的问卷统 计分析,英语教师的课堂观察 以及访谈内容,文章最后总结了乡村初中英语教 师 PCK 的发展策略,从新手英语教师的自身发展提出了合理的建议。 本文的理论意义在于,学习并且分析了国内外 PCK 和有效教学的研宄,从 而探讨了英语教师专业知识的构成要素,着重探讨了乡村初中英语教师 PCK 的 构成要素。有助于进一步完善英语教师专业化知识。本文的实践意义在于,从 乡村初中英语教学的实际情况出发,分析了英语教师 PCK 构成要素对有效英语 课堂教学的影响,
