Divide the students into three groups to discuss. Each group for one topic about the Chinese language. One writer in each group to write down some key words about the discussion and write them down on the blackboard later.3 Ask another student in another group to combine sentences for Chinese language by using the key words on the blackboard.4 Write a passage for the Chinese language including the topic discussed before this, such as, the origin of Chinese, the writing system, varieties of Chinese and so on.Material about the Chinese language:1 Chinese is spoken by more people than other language in the world.2 Chinese has more than twice the number of speakers of English, though of course it lacks the universality of English and is spoken by few people not of Chinese origin.
