They read the story about rare animals.二、学情分析:Students in this class are making progress in their speaking and reading. Although some new students and two special students are still not active, most of them have enthusiasm for learning English.Therefore the lower level students need to be encouraged and try to improve their speaking, reading and writing skills.三、教学目标.语言知识目标:The students will clearly get the main idea of the story. They will be able to read the new words correctly, understand, ask and answer questions fluently and read the story without difficulties.1 .语言技能目标:The students will be able to read and ask questions or provide information on a topic to elicit a response;control participation in an interaction or group activities.2 .学习策略目标The students can learn to guess the meaning of some words in the story by listening and reading, improve their understanding, speaking, listening and reading skills through some reading activities and group work or pair work.3 .情感态度目标:Students will be encouraged to read for interest and enjoyment and their responsible behavior when going hiking.4 .文化意识目标:Students get to know some natural scenic spots in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.四、教学重点:The main idea of the story and reading aloud and understand.五、教学难点:To read the new words and some long sentences correctly.a六、教学资源:PPT, E-book, textbook, flash cards, computer, posters七、教学过程:教学环节教师活动学生活动设计意图1 .Warming up and Pre-reading1 .Greetings and play the song.2 .(On PPT)Review theadjectives like interesting, exciting, boring, surprising-,3 . Listeningcan do different outdoor activities to enjoy nature. Bird- watching is a popular outdoor activity in Hong Kong. Our weather is mild in winter. When the weather turns cold in aurumn, many birds from the north fly south and stop to shelter here.Sometimes birds are swept over Hong Kong by a typhoon. This is a chance to see some birds that seldom come here. Birds usually stay far from people so it 飞 important to have a pair of binoculars to watch them.l.Sing the song: Where shall we go?2.Go over the words, checking if they can pronounce them correctly.3.Students listen and answer the questions.Do people in Hong Kong like watching birds?Why do we need binoclars to watch birds?4. Read the material in groups.To arouse students interest in the theme of the reading text.To practice the students' listening and comprehension skills.2. While-reading and Practice4. You are going to read the story about three young people again. They like watching butterflies.
