    学院毕业设计(论文)中文标题 沙溪镇小学英语教学现状-问题与解决方法英文标题Current English teaching situation in Shaxi Primary School-Problems and Solutions学 院: 外国语学院 专 业: 英 语 年级班级: 2010级一班 学生学号: 2010123134 学生: 妮 指导教师: 朱 琳 起止日期: 2013年9月至2013年11月 制表日期:2013 年 11 月 15 日Current English Teaching Situation in Shaxi Primary School-Problems and SolutionsYang NiEnglish 2010-1Zhu Lin (Associate Professor)November15, 2013摘要随着科学技术的发展,世界各国之间的经济文化交流越来越频繁,英语也作为一种国际性的语言被世界各国广泛运用。为了提高全国人民的综合素质,国家教育部在2001年教育部在关于积极推进小学开设英语课程的指导意见中明确提出:“从2001年秋季起在全国的城市小学和县城小学普遍开设英语课程。2002年秋季,各乡镇所在地小学逐步开设英语课程,小学开设英语课程的起始年级一般为三年级。”如今小学英语教学已经走过了十几个年头。但由于小学英语教学起步晚,发展又不平衡,导致各个地区的发展良莠不齐。作者通过对相关文献的整理,发现对农村小学英语教学现状的调查研究很少,因此开展西南地区农村小学英语教学现状的研究意义重大。本论文主要采用文献研究法、观察法、访谈法及其它方法,通过对沙溪镇农村小学英语教学现状进调查研究,探讨小学开设英语的必要性,试图把握小学英语教学中存在的问题,并针对存在的问题给出相应的意见和建议。文章容主要分为五部分:第一部分,绪论。论述了研究选题的背景和意义,并对相关文件进行整理分析。第二部分,研究设计。首先介绍了研究目的和研究问题,接着对研究方法,研究对象以及收集的资料进行整理分析,然后对论文的创新之处做了详细的介绍。第三部分,沙溪镇小学英语教学现状。本部分就沙溪镇小学英语教学中的学生、教师和教学资源等影响教育的因素,展开相关调查,并对调查作出详细的描述。第四部分,总结与建议。对沙溪镇小学英语教学现状的调查结果进行深入分析,找出问题并对进行理性的思考,给出针对性的建议。第五部分,结束语。笔者希望通过这篇文章更为准确的把握沙溪镇小学英语教学中存在的问题,并为当地进行教育体制改革提供可靠的依据,促进当地小学英语教学的稳步发展。关键词:农村小学;英语教学;现状;问题;对策AbstractNowadays, the developing of science and technology promote the communication of economy and culture of different country. AndEnglish, as an international language, is widely used in the whole world.For increasing the quality of the nation, the National Educational Department put forward a document that states the aim: from the autumn of 2001, English will be taught in all urban primary schools; from the autumn of 2002, English will be taught in all rural primary schools, and the starting grades are Grade 3. Now the English teaching in village has more than 10 years history. But due to the late start, the development of English teaching in primary school is disequilibrium. By organizing the related literature, the author finds that the study on English teaching in primary school is rare.Therefore, this thesis will be very meaningful to reveal the current English teaching situation in rural primary school.The thesis mainly adopted the method of document analysis, observation method and interviews. This thesis discusses the necessity of English teaching in primary school by investigating the current English teaching situation in Shaxi primary school. And try to find the problems existing in the school and give some advices. The thesis is divided into five parts:Part one, introduce the background and significance of the research and review the related literature. Part two is the research design. It introduces the purpose and questions of the research firstly, and then, analyzes the method, object and information of the research. Part three discusses the current Englishteaching situations in Shaxi primary school from three parts: the teachers, the students and the teaching resources. In part four, the author find the problems of English teaching existing in Shaxi primary school, analyzes the main problems and causes, and gives some suggestions.Part five is the conclusion of the paper. The author hoped to find out the problems of English teaching existing in the Shaxi primary school exactly. Language, as a medium, plays an important role in communication. And English, undoubtedly, as an international language, is widely used in the whole world. At the same time, lots of countries in the world realize that it is very necessary to be a qualified citizen to grasp a foreign language in 21st century.And for increasing the quality and competence of the nation and to better adapting the economy and information globalization, a reform of basic education is waving in the whole world. Thus, teaching English in primary school is also gradually valued by the whole society in recent years.Under such ages background, in the autumn of 2001, the National Educational Department put forward a document” the Ministry of Education about Advanced Primary School Start English Curriculum Positively Instruction Opinion”. The primary school students should master BasicEnglish knowledge, acquire basic communication skill in real context and have a solid foundation for further Englishlearning. Under the economic background at that time, the National Educational Department makes such a decision is wise and farsighted.It is not only providing the policy basis for establishing the English curriculum in primary school, but also laying a solid foundation for developing the countriesEnglish education career.Significance of the researchSince the opening and reform, the English teaching in rural primary school has more than 10 years history. And unquestionably, there has been a great deal of achievement and laid the foundation for the development of the Englishteaching in primary school. However, there are also many problems. After the English teaching in rural primary school, it is aroused highly attention in the whole country. Lots of experts around the world are to investigation the English teaching situation in primary school from different aspects through different ways. But there is little study in the Southwest nationality countryside school. And by organizing the related literature, the author finds that the study on English teaching in primary school is rare.In order to get more information about the English teaching situation in rural primary school, this thesis try to find out the existing problems of English teaching in rural primary school and give some suggestions, taking Shaxi Primary School for example. Therefore, this thesis will be very meaningful to reveal the current English teaching situation in rural primary school.We may find the real reasons to cause such situation and offer proposals to solve these problems, which can promote the blossom of the primary English teaching.Literature ReviewSince the English course was set up in elementary school, it causes great attention anddoes lots of research. In this part, the author is going to review the related literature, hoping to find a new point for promoting the primary English teaching. From the beginning of the 20th century, scholars overseas was started the study on English teaching in primary schools. In 1995, the European Commission was published a white paper” Education and Training: to aim at learning society” provided a guidance. It states that it is good for children to study first foreign language in the preschool stage, and lay a solid foundation at the elementary school stage, then to learn a second foreign language in high school. Meanwhile, the paper written by Zhou Rung,pointed that English is the first selection of European countries and its status in the irreplaceable role. For example, English is the only one compulsory language for the children of eight years old in Greece.周榕.欧洲小学外语教学趋势简介,2000,(03)。That establishes the foundation for European countries to set up the English courses in primary school. Thereinto, Paul Eggen and other scholars make a deep research and expound about the English teaching in elementary school. Young Hyun Kim (1996) who introduce all kinds of English teaching skills to primary English teachers in his paper after analyzes the primary English teaching content, purpose and the quality of teachers and students in South Koreas primary school.Relatively speaking, English teaching in primary school is late in getting start in China. And many of the villages and towns havent set up English courses until now. According to the research, for now, there is twice a week classroom activities in the area where the schools have established the Englishcurriculum while some of them only have once. For the unreasonably of class time and structure, it is difficult for the teacher to fulfill the teaching tasks as well as influence the teaching results.In addition, the class size of English teaching in primary school is also unreasonable. In the Survey and Consideration on English Teaching in Primary School, Yuan Changqing discovered that there is not only the English class hour but also the class sizes are go against the English teaching in elementary school.袁长清.小学英语教学现状调查与思考_以宣城市市区小学为例,安徽教育,2002,(6)。In some schools of rural areas, the class size is too big; it is hard for teacher to consider the individual difference. And according to the collected information, so far, theEnglish teaching in primary school faculty force of China is unsatisfactory on the whole. Shu Dingfang et al. in the paper, An Investigation and Consideration on English Teaching Situation in Primary School in Shanghai, revealed that Shanghai is lack of qualified Englishteacher, especially the outstanding English teacher. However, there are also some problems in English learning habit and method. Most schools are short of essential equipment and facility for English teaching. As the paper, An Investigation on Current English Teaching Situation in Rural in SuihuaCity, written by Chen Yuejuan indicated, lots of schools dont have any other supplementary materials except tapes and several charts matched with teaching material.
