8、ief introduction of the author and novel2.1 The introduction of the novel It is a book written in 1852 , Uncle Toms Cabin has been considered as the most influential a nti- slavery novel in that period and described by Stowe herself as a “series of sketches“ describing thehuman cruelty of slavery, o
9、pens with a description of Arthur Shelbys Kentucky plantation during the antebellum period. There are several impressive characters in this novel, George who is clever and brave;Harry, a beautiful and talented child who sings dances and mimes;Mrs. Shelby, a very religious woman;Sambo and Qimbo and s
10、o on. The major character Uncle Tom who was the most impressive in this novel was a devout Christian. He endured the miserable fate bravely and aroused the whites sympathy for slaves with his Christs sacrifice and the tolerance of returning good for evil. This novel focuses on the distinctive person
11、alities of Uncle Tom deeply influenced by Christianity and the important role Uncle Toms Cabin playing on abolition; and the -_Significance of “Uncle Tom” to the harmonious worlds development, and the effect on modern people. In the middle of the 19th, the Shelbys private farm which was located in t
12、he south of the United States had a slave which the character was extremely loyal devotion and hard working. Everyone in this private farm called him Uncle Tom. Unfortunately, because of the owner went into the bankrupt in the field of the market for stocks, the host of the farm had no option but ma
13、ke a sale of the ten slavers including Uncle Tom to slave dealer for the sake of foreclosures. All the slaves carried back to the south with ships, on the ship Uncle Tom saved a girl who fell into the river and the girl was really fond of the Toms singing. As a result, the little girl wonder her fat
14、her bought Tom in intensity request. This was a gold given period in the Toms lifetime. However, a good life didnt last long,many slaver holders strongly condemned liberate the slaves in the case of the girls father had a opposite opinion. Thereupon, many slaver holders exposed the girls father to m
15、ortal danger. There was no denying the truth that the girls father was murder in the end. From this moment on, Uncle Toms life became really tough. One day in order to saved a girl who didnt surrender by landlord; Uncle Tom had a car accident and got serious hurt. When he was dying in his house, he
16、realized the truth that only persists fighting there is a possibility of freedom. He appealed to slavers leaving the hell place as soon as possible, and with the help of the white people the slavers rose up to fight with the slaver holder, in this time, Uncle Tom was a great consolation to his compa

Even though Uncle Tom died in the end, he must be leave without any regret but endless appreciates. 2.2 The Introduction of Harriet Beecher Stowe Harriet Beecher Stowe, the author of Uncle Toms cabin. She was born in the famous priest family in June 14th 1811 and p

Civil war, in a other words, Emancipation war was launched in 1860s , nevertheless in the beginning of the 1820s abolishment of the slavery had gradually became the main centre issue in the field of the development public opinion in the United States.
